'Wicker' Tops the U.K. Box Office in a Photo Finish
Olivia Colman and Alexander Skarsgard's film opened at No. 1 in the U.K. and Ireland with 1.76 million pounds, beating Robert Pattinson's 'Primetime' by just 10,141 pounds.

Black Bear's Wicker, starring Olivia Colman and Alexander Skarsgard, opened at No. 1 in the U.K. and Ireland with 1.76 million pounds, or 1.8 million pounds including previews, from 676 cinemas, according to the November 4 weekend roundup.
It beat A24's Primetime, starring Robert Pattinson, by only about 10,141 pounds. Primetime took 1.75 million pounds in the same frame.
Wicker was Black Bear's first-ever No. 1 film as a distributor, a milestone for the company in its home market.
In North America, Wicker held well in its second weekend, down just 28 percent to $4.1 million, for a $13.3 million domestic total and about $15.5 million worldwide, against a reported $10 million budget.
The razor-thin U.K. margin made it one of the closest box-office finishes of the year, with the two films effectively tied until the final tallies came in.
