Today co-anchor Craig Melvin was scolded on air by Martha Stewart during the show's Halloween special on Friday, October 30, after he spilled chocolate ganache on her white pants.

Stewart had joined the broadcast to share festive recipes, including how to make a spiderweb design on a cheesecake, as part of the show's celebration of NBC's 100th anniversary.

The mishap happened as Stewart was preparing to decorate the cheesecake: Melvin picked up the piping bag of ganache to help, but accidentally drizzled some onto her white pants first.

Stewart reacted in the moment, telling Melvin that the real Snoop Dogg — her longtime friend and collaborator — would never have done that, a joke that landed as Melvin looked on in disbelief.

Her co-anchors Savannah Guthrie and Carson Daly, dressed as an NBC Page and singer Ella Langley respectively, were also shown reacting with shock to the spill. The moment ended on a lighter note, with Stewart laughing briefly before getting back to decorating the cheesecake, and warning that the ganache work needed to be done very carefully.
