Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos returned for their annual Live with Kelly and Mark Halloween spectacular on Friday, October 30, with a show built around speed as much as spookiness.

The special, titled Live's Halloween Shockin' Eve, put a Halloween twist on a New Year's Eve countdown format, celebrating the year's biggest pop culture moments and viral trends.

Two of the headline looks were superhero-inspired: Consuelos dressed as Spider-Man in the character's red-and-blue suit, while Ripa appeared as Yelena Belova in a tactical green ensemble.

PEOPLE reported that the pair had more than 60 costumes planned for the broadcast, describing it as their most rapid-fire round of costume changes in years.

The sketches were set to spoof a range of the year's talking points, including The Traitors and Heated Rivalry, alongside other pop culture and trend-based segments. Lisa Rinna and Jerry O'Connell joined the celebration as celebrity judges for the show's signature audience Halloween costume contest, a long-running part of the annual special.
