CrowdStrike announced on November 3 at Fal.Con Europe in Barcelona a new AI Kill Switch in Falcon Guardian, designed to stop unauthorized agent activity at runtime and block it from running again across an organization.

The company also announced its planned acquisition of Fiddler AI, a leader in AI agent observability, which would become Falcon Observe, expected to be generally available in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2027. The announcement frames the move as securing AI agents at every control point on the Falcon platform.

AI agents — software that can take actions across systems, from querying databases to moving files — have created a new security problem: an agent gone rogue, or hijacked, can act far faster and more broadly than a human intruder. A kill switch gives security teams a single way to cut off the models powering a misbehaving agent's decisions.

The Fiddler acquisition adds the other half of the picture: observability, or the ability to see what agents are doing, why they made a decision, and where they went wrong. CrowdStrike said the combination would let teams detect, explain and stop agent incidents in one platform.

The announcements land as enterprises race to deploy AI agents while security teams warn that governance has lagged behind adoption. CrowdStrike is betting that agent security becomes a standalone market — and that the companies that control the kill switch will control it.
