Apple's HomePod mini 2 went on sale on October 30 in India and other global markets, after being unveiled on October 13 alongside the Apple TV 4K (4th Generation).

The speaker is priced at Rs. 18,900 in India and is available in five colourways: Pink, Green, Blue, White and Midnight. Customers in India can buy it through Apple's online store and retail stores.

The headline feature is support for Siri AI, but the upgraded voice assistant will only arrive through a future software update. Apple says the upgraded assistant will have better personal context understanding and power tasks like richer music discovery and access to even more apps.

The speaker keeps a compact spherical design with acoustic mesh fabric and a flat, backlit touch surface. Its audio architecture includes a full-range driver and dual passive radiators, and it supports multi-room audio with AirPlay and stereo pairing.

When paired with the new Apple TV 4K, HomePod mini 2 supports four-speaker surround sound. For connectivity it has Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 6, Thread networking and an Ultra Wideband chip, plus built-in temperature and humidity sensors and Sound Recognition for smoke and carbon monoxide alarms. Buyers also get three months of Apple Music for new subscribers, with AppleCare+ available as a monthly subscription or a one-time option.
