A QUIET HALLOWEEN BOX OFFICE CROWNS AN UNLIKELY QUEEN: THE ELIZABETH HOLMES DOC
With Halloween falling on a Saturday and every major distributor sitting the frame out, A24's Elizabeth Holmes documentary 'You Can See Everything' is forecast to top the box office in its third weekend.

With Halloween falling on a Saturday and every major distributor sitting the frame out, A24's documentary 'You Can See Everything' is forecast to claim the top spot in its third weekend, with a projected $12M–$17M.
The film, about Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes, expanded by another 600 screens to more than 3,200, after a $19.5 million sophomore frame that was up 25% on its opening.
Thursday numbers had it at $2 million for the day and $52 million domestic, ahead of DC's 'Clayface' ($1.9 million Thursday, $33 million domestic) and Laika's 'Wildwood' ($1.37 million Thursday, $18.3 million domestic).
Box Office Pro notes the last Saturday Halloween at the box office (barring 2020) was 2015, when the fifth week of 'The Martian' topped the chart with $11 million.
The quiet frame is a quirk of the calendar: studios traditionally avoid opening big titles against Halloween trick-or-treating.
